Questions worth asking
The things people ask us most, answered plainly. Where a detail is not settled yet, this page says so.
Is TEDxBanani a nonprofit?
TEDxBanani operates under a licence from TED Conferences LLC and, like all TEDx events, is required to run on a not-for-profit basis. Any funds raised through ticket sales and sponsorship go directly toward covering event costs such as venue, production, speaker support and materials, rather than generating profit for the organisers. No individual involved in organising TEDxBanani earns compensation from event revenue.
Can I attend the event?
Yes. TEDxBanani is open to the public, though seating is limited to around 100 attendees to keep the experience intimate and conversation-driven. Ticket sales will open online soon; follow our official channels for the announcement, and we'd recommend securing yours early given the limited capacity.
Can my company sponsor the event?
Yes. TEDxBanani welcomes sponsors and partners who share our belief in the power of locally-rooted ideas. We offer a range of partnership tiers, from Presenting to Community level, each with its own set of benefits, along with in-kind opportunities for businesses looking to contribute products or services. Get in touch to receive our sponsorship booklet and discuss what a partnership could look like.
Will talks be available online?
Yes. All talks from TEDxBanani will be professionally filmed and, following TED's review and approval process, an edited version will be published on the official TEDx YouTube channel and made freely available to watch, in keeping with TED's mission of ideas worth spreading.
Can I volunteer?
Yes. TEDxBanani relies on a dedicated team of volunteers to help bring the event to life, from event-day logistics to guest coordination. Tell us a little about yourself and we'll share more details on open roles and how to get involved.
